The principals of the Halpin Foundation and the leadership of the American Society of Nephrology celebrated the establishment of the Halpin Foundation-ASN research career development grant in Membranous Nephropathy at the ASN Conference in St. Louis, MO.

2007 -- To foster collaborative scientific research, The Halpin Foundation co-sponsored the Conference with the Mario Negri Institute – Bergamo, Italy.

2011 -- With the same goal as the 2007 Conference, The Halpin Foundation co-sponsored the Conference once again with the Mario Negri Institute -- Bergamo, Italy. Under the supervision of Giuseppe Remuzzi, M.D. F.R.C.P., the International Conference on Membranous Nephropathy (MN) will covered the latest research and the translational opportunities to create therapies to address the syndrome. Dr. Remuzzi is the Director of the Mario Negri Institute for Pharmacological Research of the Negri Bergamo Laboratories, and Director of the Department of Nephrology and Dialysis at the Ospedali Riuniti of Bergamo Hospital in Bergamo, Italy.
